Bodøryggen is a mountain race of approximately 21 kilometers with 1000 meters of elevation gain, starting at Skaug and finishing at Bestemorenga. The race takes participants steeply up to Skaugtuva (626 meters above sea level) before the trail levels out, offering a spectacular view of the Vestfjord, the Lofoten Wall, the city of Bodø, and Børvasstindan along the Bodøryggen. This challenging route is well-marked, but it is recommended to bring sturdy hiking shoes and the necessary equipment for varying weather conditions.

Highlights

  • Start at Skaug, steeply up to Skaugtuva before it levels out and the journey can be enjoyed along Bodøryggen / Løpsfjellet.
